A. Identity & Contact Data

• Full name • Address • Email address • Telephone number 

B. Donation Information

• Donation amount and history • Payment method • Transaction reference
(Payment details are processed securely by third-party payment providers; we do not store full card details.) 

C. Adoption & Foster Applications

• Home address • Household information • Lifestyle information relevant to dog welfare • Accommodation References • ID documentation (where required) 

D. Volunteer Information

• Contact details • Availability • Relevant skills or experience • Emergency contact details 

E. Technical Data

• IP address • Browser type • Cookies and usage data


4. Lawful Bases for Processing

Under EU and UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:

• Consent – e.g., marketing emails • Contract – e.g., adoption agreements • Legal obligation – e.g., financial record keeping • Legitimate interests – e.g., managing volunteers, preventing fraud, safeguarding animal welfare 

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time.


5. How We Use Your Personal Data

We use your personal data to:

• Process donations • Assess adoption and fostering suitability • Administer volunteer roles • Communicate updates about our activities • Maintain financial and legal records • Ensure animal welfare and responsible rehoming • Improve our website and services 

We do not sell personal data.


6. International Transfers

As a Cyprus-based charity, we may process data within the EU.

If we process personal data relating to individuals in the UK, transfers between the UK and EU are carried out in accordance with recognised adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards under UK and EU data protection law.

If we use third-party service providers outside the EU/UK (e.g., cloud services), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place such as:

• Adequacy decisions • Standard Contractual Clauses • UK International Data Transfer Agreements (where applicable)

• Financial records: minimum period required by Cyprus, EU and UK tax/accounting law • Adoption records: for the lifetime of the animal or as legally required • Volunteer records: during active involvement and a reasonable period afterwards
